Gai has over 20 years’ experience in marketing and brand management. She has worked at a senior level within local businesses, including 11 years at Panthers World of Entertainment and 7 years with The Good Guys Penrith. Gai is a recipient of the Local Women of the Year 2013 Award (nominated by Stuart Ayres) also the Paul Harris Fellow Rotary Award and is extremely passionate about the future of Penrith.

Cr Karen McKeown was elected to Council in 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016 and served as Mayor in 2015-2016 and is currently the Deputy Mayor.

Cr McKeown and husband also own and have operated a small business in Penrith for a number of years.
